Core Beliefs
- One God – the Trinity
- There is one God, existing as three co-equal persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (John 1:1-2, 2 Corinthians 13:14)
- Deity of Jesus Christ
- Jesus Christ is the incarnate Son of God, fully God and fully human, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born to the Virgin Mary (John 1:14, Luke 1:45)
- Crucifixion and Resurrection
- Jesus died on the cross to pay for the sins of humanity and was physically resurrected three days later. (1 Corinthians 15:3:4)
- Salvation by Grace Through Faith
- Salvation is a gift from God, received by faith in Jesus Christ’s finished work on the cross, not through human effort or good deeds. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
- Holy Spirit
- The Holy Spirit indwells believers, empowering, guiding, and transforming them to live a Christian life and to understand God’s Word. (John 14:26)
- The Bible as God’s Inspired Word
- The Christian Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is considered the inspired and authoritative Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
